Did you know we do custom orders?

We have been out of the shop for a few weeks now. At first we were really worried that people would forget about us. We can happily report that this is not the case!

The last few weeks have been really buy for us, which is great!

Last weekend we attended the May Fayre at Cober Hill, Cloughton. This was
an amazing event and we were really happy to be a part of it.
We met lots of great people and sold some of our handcrafted terrariums!

Amelia, from Amelias Chocolates asked me to write a guest blog for her
on the top five places I love to visit in the local area.

I was really happy to be asked to do this and when it's
published I will let you all know, so you can give it a read.

We have been making some wonderful items made to order too this week.

This is a custom made box frame.
The customer picked the beach huts to match her bathroom.
She is really happy with the finished product.

We will keep you up to date with all our news so
please keep reading our blog every week.

As always, thank you for reading my blog and we will see you next time

This week's blog...

Hello everyone....

Sorry we have not been around for the last couple of weeks. We have been
really busy moving out of our shop unit on Hanover Road, Scarborough.

This is the last photo we took in the shop. It looks so bare and sorry for itself, but we
are happy to be all packed up and ready for the next chapter of gekoglass.
We are still searching for our ideal shop location and will keep you updated
on when and where we are going.

In the meantime we have been super busy. We have been making a lot of
wonderful things to take to the May Fayre we are attending next week.
(I'll tell you a bit more about that in a bit).

Look at these wonderful items...

These are some more special terrariums and a display dome stand with hand made marbles. The photos do not do these items justice so you need  to see them in person.

We have also taken some more wedding orders...

We are waiting for these items to be collected and hope these happy
couples have wonderful wedding days.

So the May fayre I mentioned earlier....

We would like to invite you all to Cober Hill, Cloughton
on Saturday 14th May 2016.

This is for their May Fayre....

There are loads of things happening at Cober Hill all weekend.
There is an arts exhibition, demonstrations from Crofts Chocolates,
The Guide Dogs for the Blind will be there to chat about what they do.
There is also a creative writing course (I advise booking in advance for this)
and a murder mystery (again, book in advance for this!)
We hope to see you at the event!!

You can find our products for sale on #etsy

Also check out our web site which is still under construction

As always thank you for reading and see you next time

What a great week.....

Today I wanted to tell you all what a fantastic

week we have had!

It started with a great wedding fayre at

The Downe Arms at Wykeham last Sunday.

We met lots of people planning their big day and we

thought the venue was stunning.

At the moment we have no more Wedding Fayres

booked until Autumn.

If you know of one you think we should attend,

please let us know.

We have received three orders for wedding

accessories from customers that we have seen at

The Mayfield, Roscoe Rooms,

The Barn and  The Downe Arms.

Cute jewellery, wedding invitations and a

digit dab are orders so far.

These are all bespoke, hand made items for these

events and we are really happy that people have

chosen these items to compliment their special day.

We have made some super cute items for a

Christening this week and

made a range of products for

Falling Foss Tea Garden.

Why don't you wrap up warm and go to visit?

The walks in the area are amazing,

the tea and cheesy nachos after a walk

are also superb.

This week we have delivered a stunning digital image

to a customer.

The photo doesn't do it justice and the customers

thought it was fantastic.

We hope over the course of this year that more people

are brave and opt for a digital image

rather than  just a block colour for their splash back.

Stunning fairy homes available to buy.

Something a little magical for a

Saturday morning.....

Today I wanted to talk to you about our

stunning hand crafted terrariums.

We have spent many hours tinkering in the

workshop to make these unique items.

We use stones, which we set ourselves,

hand crafted locally turned wooden

mushrooms and toadstools, marbles, 'moss',

and one or two items that belong to

some fairy friends of ours.

The process takes a few hours to set the

stones and items in place.

We can make bases for our terrariums

and add lots of special touches,

like butterflies resting on the toadstools.

The photos below have all been sold...

These terrariums are ideal living quarters or gardens for any

fairy looking for their next home.

We have three currently available for sale....

The small one is £12, the hanging terrarium is £35

and the enchanted garden terrarium is £48.

These have been very very popular. So much so that we have five currently

in production. As soon as they are ready we will let you all know.

We do not want any fairies being left homeless!!
